erin's quilt

We met Erin at the Heavenly Notion's Sewing Retreat.  She and her sister, Jessica, attended sitting right behind us sewing at the next table.  What a pleasure to meet her and her sister.  We had so much fun at the retreat!

We were pleased to quilt it with a floating star pantograph. Doesn't it just match the theme of this star quilt? We love the printed fabric and the bright purple Erin chose.

And look at this cute polka-dot fabric for the backing and the same cute printed fabric as binding just makes this quilt adorable!

americana quilt

For the last several years Margaret has made a Patriotic or "Americana" quilt to be given away at the Fire Fighter's Festival in Wheaton Missouri.   This beautiful quilt is ready and waiting for the festival to go to a new owner.  With a star themed pantograph and the beautiful panel and fabrics, this quilt will have a few people wanting it! Beautiful job Margaret!

graduation quilt for trey

What do you give a senior graduating from high school? A quilt in his favorite colors!  We made this quilt called "Square Blocks on Point".  The black fabric pavers on each square made this quilt just pop!

A burgundy red grunge fabric on the back completed the look.

What a crazy pattern! You sew it and then cut it into 3 pieces, resewing it creating this pattern.  A burgundy red grunge fabric on the back completed the look. Absolutely love, love, love it!!

He loved it!  💕💕

We were at a sewing retreat frantically working to get it done so we could get it home for quilting and binding. We quilted it with a twisted triangle pantograph.

WE did it, with the help of some sweet ladies - Janet and Marlene! 😘

birthday quilts

A quilt for Elouise (Ellie). Ellie turned 7 and received this cute purple, teal and green quilt as her birthday present from her Grandma.

This pattern is called "16 Strips", where you are supposed to use 16 different fabric strips. Sheryle changed it and made it just using the colors she wanted to accent the quilt.  The cute polka-dots in the same colors as the strips just made this quilt!  The purple backing finished it beautifully.  We used the Square Parade pantograph to finish it.  Word has it that Ellie loved it!  She said she really liked the pattern. 😍

Lexie is Ellie's sister, and she turned 10 the same month as Ellie.  So what better gift from Grandma than a quilt using some of her favorite colors that matched her room.

Using the same "16 Strip" pattern using Lexie's favorite colors made this into  one cute quilt.  Sheryle used a silver polka-dot fabric paired with the gray, teal and orange, with a circle pattern on the teal backing. Lexie said she liked it!

Madie's quilts

Hexagons galore!  Sheryle's granddaughter, Madie made all of these hexagons by hand and sewed them together to make this small lap quilt.  She brought it for us to quilt. This is the first quilt she's ever made. What a way to begin her quilting career! 💖

We used a pantograph called Loopy-Loops. We like how it didn't take away from the hexagons. Madie's backing was rainbows.  Such a cute quilt.

Brett's Quilt - Madie surprised us by bringing another quilt that she made for her boyfriend Brett.  She cut all of these pieces with scissors and sewed them together on a junior sewing machine that she had received when she was about 10 years old.

We took Madie shopping and got her set up with a rotary cutter and mat, as well as a quilter's ruler.  She also went home with a used, new to her, Singer Sewing machine.

I believe we have another quilter in the family!

As you can see he loves it!  Love the colors and backing fabric she picked for his quilt.  We used a pantograph called Square Parade.  It really emphasizes the square blocks.

parrot quilt

Did someone say parrots?  Isn't this quilt so rich and vibrant  in colors and with the parrots?  So fun!

We know somebody's sister-in-law is just going to love this quilt.

We used a pantograph called Hourglass Melody. We like how this turned out. The design stands out on the solid colors, but doesn't take away from the beautiful pictures of the parrots.

baby quilt

This cute baby quilt was hand sewn with cross stitches, and brought to us to quilt.

We added the borders and used the yellow check fabric as the backing.  We used this quilt pattern so we wouldn't disturb the cross stitches too much.  It turned out so cute.

Susie's quilt - restoration completed

The quilt is finished and delivered to Susie and her daughter. They were so delighted with the results, tears and hugs were shared.  This was a labor of love💕 and we were honored to have the privilege of working on restoring this quilt.

Here is a close up of the quilt finished.  It looks brand new and it is hard to tell the new pieces from the old.  All the piece work was done by hand and the edges of the quilt were sewn on the machine as they were fraying and needed help.

This quilt was made by Susie's grandmother.  We are guessing it is over a 100 years old.  We have tagged all the pieces on the quilt that need replaced.

In this picture you can see where the fabric is so old that it has disintegrated.  Sheryle is removing the worn out pieces and is hand sewing in new pieces.

We have faded the material to make it fit in with the older fabric and this picture shows 4 pieces that Sheryle has replaced.

Toddler quilt for holden

This quilt is for Holden, a 2 year old, who loves construction trucks.

A close-up of the pantograph we used. All the bright colors are so fun.

Did you notice the gray road running around the edges? What fun he will have driving his trucks on it.

Here is Holden playing with his bulldozer on his quilt.

Baby quilt

A new project Margaret is working on a baby quilt.

In this picture you can see the design that she is working on.

Almost finished but still in progress.  New baby will love this as well as the new Momma.

Finished with a beautiful minky backing and a loopy-loop pantograph!  What a fun project this was.

Kay's quilt

Kay asked Margaret to add borders and finish this quilt for her grandson.

Margaret added a white star strip and then the red border.

Margaret chose this gray backing to finish the quilt.  The pantograph pattern just completes this quilt with its square pattern.

Kay said " Oh my .. you have done a wonderful job!"

Margaret's response "It makes my heart happy"

margaret's quilt

Margaret has whipped out this cute quilt called "16 Strips", and will be putting it on the longarm to quilt it next week.

Quilt has been on the longarm and quilted and we love how it has turned out. We LOVE this pattern.

The pantograph pattern just completes this quilt with its square pattern.  Margaret did a great job!

carmen's quilt

Sheryle is in the process of making a Bargello quilt called "Fireworks"  for her granddaughter, Carmen, from these fat quarters. Carmen picked out the pattern; and after seeing the fat quarters, she put them in the order that she liked so she has had a hand in helping create her own quilt!

Strips are cut and sewn together horizontally.  Sheryle is working on sewing them vertically now.  She has three borders to add to it and then will be ready to put it on the longarm machine.

Carmen's quilt is finished and delivered!

 Carmen loves it.

Sheryle told Carmen she was so glad she loved it. Carmen said she was glad Sheryle was glad that she loved it.

Kay's quilt

Kay belongs to a quilting club.  This project was that each member make a maple leaf.  Kay turned to Royal Oaks to have us the quilt top together.

We added sashing and borders and the sashing pulls the colors all together. With Kay's permission we recreated a smaller maple leaf for the corners.   Using the dark brown sashing fabric as the backing fabric set the tone for this quilt just right.

Adding this loopy-loop pantograph pattern to finish the quilt and we are very satisfied how it turned out. Kay loved it!

mary's Table topper

Margaret loaded up this beautiful table topper and we picked a cute geometric pantograph pattern that looked like stop signs to finish the quilt out

We love how this turned out and with the stop sign finishing it was just the perfect touch to make this table topper a winner!

Valentine's day table runners

Margaret and Sheryle had such fun making these Valentine's Day table runners. Sheryle's is in the front and Margaret's is in the back.  We decided to use only fabric from our fabric stashes. After digging around we found these scraps of material and came up with these cute hearts.  We finished them on the longarm with small hearts.  We also made our decoupage blocks to complete our tables.  We LOVE TO SEW!
