This is our Mom, Elouise. She turned 92 this Christmas. Here is Margaret and Mom with her new quilt. I think you can see she loves it by her beautiful smile!
Margaret made this panel quilt of the verses How Great Thou Art, one of Mom's favorite songs, for Mom's birthday.
A beautiful panel quilt. A few additional colors of fabric and look what a beautiful quilt!
A close-up of the pantograph we used. Love the stars! Genie and Dave love it.
Margaret's grandson, Kade, is a student at MSSU.
Here is a close up of the quilt she made for him.
Here is Kade with his quilt.
Here is a quilt made for an Arkansas Razorback fan!
Check out those Arkansas Razorbacks!
Oh boy, this was just the beginning.
It's starting to come together.
This was a challenge. Madie picked all the material for this Amish Star Quilt.
Finished! What a beautiful quilt this turned out to be.
Madie and her quilt!
Block of the month was such a fun project! Margaret and Sheryle took the blocks and added some other fabrics to make them "pop" a little. Here are a few of the blocks we did.
The original material was a light gray, dark gray, navy blue, teal and red. We added the splash of blues and greens material and the red and white material
Here are two examples of how different you can create different quilts using the same fabrics and patterns. These are Sheryle's blocks.
Here are Margaret's blocks and you can see some are same and some are different.
Margaret added navy blue, light gray and her splashes of blue and greens to complete her quiilt.
Margaret finished her quilt with the Tangled Triangles. What a neat design to accent her half square triangles.
Sheryle chose to use navy blue, light gray and a slightly darker teal to complete her quilt.
Sheryle used the Hourglass Medley to finish her quilt. These are a cool design that still accents her quilt.
Michelle picked out this fabric several years ago wanting Sheryle to make this for her. She even wanted the hearts separated a little so moved them down on the pattern for Sheryle to follow.
Michelle loves it, and boy was she surprised! Thanks to Margaret helping Sheryle cut it all out and giving good advice, we did it!
Here is Sheryle's husband helping Margaret load Michelle's quilt on Margaret's longarm machine. Now if you're wondering where Sheryle is, she's there but it is the day before she was to go in to have hip replacement, and being a good husband, Roger took her place in getting it ready to quilt.
Double hearts quilted on the longarm completes the hearts on this beautiful quilt!
Sheryle surprised her hubby with this patriotic lap quilt for Christmas. Look at that smile, rare but beautiful! He had remarked how much he liked the one Margaret made for a raffle, that Sheryle decided to surprise him.
The best part was she got her daughter, Michelle, in on it and Michelle hand quilted it on Margaret's longarm machine. A family project made with lots of love!
A beautiful panel quilt Margaret made for her hubby! It matches some of the paintings he has.
We made this quilt in 6 days! Margaret's granddaughter wanted a new Christmas quilt for her birthday. She loved it!
We love this mitten design!
The red polka-dots backing just adds so much to this quilt. We had so much fun creating this quilt and putting it together, a real labor of love for a sweet 10 year old!
Isn't this fabric just beautiful!
Some close-ups of the Holly berry pantograph longarm design Margaret used.
The fabric is so rich and beautiful showing the holly berries and cardinals, poinsettia's too. The holly berry pantograph longarm design was the best choice for this beautiful table runner. Thank you Mary for your business in letting us quilt this for you on the longarm machine.
Margaret took time out during the busy holiday season to make a table runner for herself. She and hubby have quite the snowmen collection and this table runner fits in perfect with all of them!
And here is the table runner on her table with just a few of her snowmen collection. The table runner looks great!
Tracy wanted a Southwestern design King quilt. Margaret chose all of the fabric, designed and quilted it for him!
What a neat way to quilt this on the longarm!
He even got pillow shams! It was great watching him as he saw the quilt for the first time! He loves it and said he needed to go put some new paint on his bedroom walls to match his new King sized quilt.
Margaret and I love making quilts for our grandchildren.
Jack, Margaret's grandson wanted a quilt made out of blues.
This is the pattern we came up with. Margaret had fun finding all the different blue fabrics.
She even let Jack pick out the pantograph pattern he liked. Triangles it is! This was a fun quilt and all the different fabric designs of blues just made it turn out really cute.
